Brother Knights,

Happy Easter, Christ is risen! This is a special time for us and all Christians as we celebrate the Paschal mystery: Christ’s passion, death and resurrection known as the Easter Triduum. We demonstrate our belief in God’s word by our participation in mass, celebration and with our prayers of joy with our family and friends. One of our duties as Knights of Columbus is to live our life as Jesus taught; to be an example of kindness, patience and love for others to follow. We are fortunate to belong to this organization which includes these values as basic qualities for its members to possess. Let’s use this to our advantage as we solicit men to consider joining us. Remember to just ask him.

About our Council

The McHenry Council was founded in 1907 AD through the efforts of many good Catholic men. The McHenry Council works closely with St. Mary's Parish, St. Patrick's Parish and the Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry, providing support for Priests, evangelistic outreaches and many other worthy causes in the area.

Knight of the Month
This award will be given next month, because the recipient was not present at the meeting.

KOC 1288 Scholarship Application

The McHenry Knights of Columbus (KOC) will award a $1,000 scholarship to a student that is a member of one of three parishes in McHenry (St. Mary, St. Patrick or Holy Apostles) based on their application information and a personal interview granted to applicants selected to be finalists. This interview will be conducted prior to July 1, 2012 (times and locations to be announced). Applicants will be notified in advance of the individual interview schedule with times and location by email or phone. All entries must be received by MIDNIGHT on Thursday, May 31, 2012 either electronically sent to serpeland@comast.net or by mail to:
